The 30 day challenge is almost over. It really has been a
“challenge”to get through but there are many things that have gotten better
after starting this challenge. Yes I haven’t gotten to watch TV until I fall
asleep lately and yes it was very difficult to do sometimes but I realize that
the majority of the shows I watch are re-runs and will be on again at some other
time. Even though I haven’t been watching a lot of late night TV, I have
sometimes been up talking on the phone to my friends or watching football films
on teams we play on the laptop. Most times I choose to just watch film on the
laptop.  But I think that not
watching TV and keeping it on all night is a good thing sometimes. I save my
family money on the electric bills, and I am also saving energy and being
substantial by conserving and saving energy for future generations. Plus the
shows that I watch aren’t really that good. I mean they are funny, but I usually
don’t watch them I just listen to them until I fall asleep. Some shows I use as
an alarm. For instance, King of the Hill comes on at 9:00 and 9:30 pm every
night during the week, sometimes it comes on on the weekends. But when King of
the Hill comes on say at 9:30, they play the same episode around 5:30 am and
ends at 6:00 am, the time I wake up. I use an alarm every morning but let’s be
honest...We ALL love the snooze button. But I will listen for a key word or
phrase a character says in the show,
usually its towards the end of the show, and use that to determine when
it ends and when I really need to get up and get ready for the day. Not keeping
the TV on all night, is actually been giving me a better night sleep too. I have
been able to get up better than normally in the mornings lately. I’ve also have
had some time for breakfast and able to concentrate during the day. I hope that
I can continue to make these good decision and continue to save and conserve
energy by keeping the TV off at night because it really is a good decision and a
good way to help the environment for generations.
